![]() ![]() With that said, I think they went WAY too far. No map in this game should be thought of as "I can go there to get a whole bunch of free items and set myself up for the rest of the game!" Overall its a huge nerf to the void fields It's absolutely a huge nerf to the void fields. The ability to choose items is a lot more useful early game where every item counts versus the late game, where one item doesnt really add all that much. Yes you can choose between 3 items each time, but by the time you are able to survive the void fields now, that is much less relevant. To be honest, the unfrozen timer together with the much more punishing damage fog really makes it useless. Originally posted by Kitty Soldier:awwh, i didnt even realise that. Maybe have it progress at half the normal speed due to how long it takes to get any items?Īnd I know the Fields give players a way to reach the new final areas and boss, but I still think I'd rather take my chances getting a random void portal in teleporter events or the Bazaar. I know the Fields used to be a little overpowered before because you could get a ton of items and a red at zero time cost, but I think having it progress in normal time is a bit too harsh and makes the Fields worthless. Having a ton of mobility items and quickly getting from cell to cell will only save you a minute or two of time at best, This is especially grueling because completing the entire Void Fields takes a similar amount of time no matter how skilled or fast the player is, due to the area defense nature of the zone. I'm pretty sure its more effective to just clear normal stages as they get you more items in less time. I'm worried that this will leave the Void Fields no longer worth it because of how long it takes to do them.ĩ items and a guaranteed red is nice and all, but it takes forever to do and I feel like the difficulty progresses too fast with how long it takes to get any items, and I end up feeling weak by the end of the fields. Players need to end a run completely after looping back to the beginning to unlock him.It seems in a recent update they nerfed the void fields by having it so the difficulty timer still progresses while you're in the area. Mastering playing as The Mercenary will ensure a good time but players need a lot of skill to successfully finish a run with him.
